POSITION DESCRIPTION: Control accident, health, and property loss by establishing an effective and responsible safety culture. Duties include:
• Developing Safety Programs for Lock Out/Tag Out, hazard communications, ergonomics, emergency organization, fire prevention, forklift safety, confined space, personal protective equipment, etc.;
• Administrating daily safety and workers compensation management;
• Directing and monitoring safety inspections, audits, and accident investigations;
• Serving as chairman of the safety committee meetings;
• Developing the safety training schedule;
• Creating awareness and incentive programs to support safety initiatives.

| Experience: |
|
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing safety;
• 2+ years of supervisory experience;
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus;
• Willing and able to be present on the plant floor 50% of the time;
• Experience in both union and non-union environments;
• Must have strong verbal, written, analytical and computer skills.
