This position is with a growing, innovative and global manufacturing company and will be responsible for supporting the materials department in developing lean material flow systems with primary emphasis on Materials processes. Duties include:
• Responsibility for overall functions for the external Lean Logistics Center (LLC) including maintaining cost and business standards;
• Coordinating packaging for internal and external parts insuring quality and ergonomics;
• Maintaining the PFEP packaging database;
• Working with manufacturing and other departments to optimize total cost;
• Driving Lean and Six Sigma project work;
• Determining root cause of problems and implementing corrective and preventative actions;
• Developing projects to increase efficiency, inventory accuracy and delivery performance.

| Experience: |
|
• 3+ years related engineering experience;
• Must have experience in Lean Manufacturing, PFEP, and Six Sigma production methods;
• Strong computer knowledge in AutoCAD, Access, Project; SAP experience is a plus;
• Project Leadership skills and experience with the ability to challenge current processes, reduce costs, drive innovation, etc.;
• Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills;
• APICS or CPIM certification is desired. |
